great for ps1 games and japanese visual novels
pretty barren for anything else also the analog on all models sucks but especially on the 1000

is it worth getting a psp or a vita? I used to own a psp but I kinda miss it

Think the only PSP games on my backlog are Patapon 3, Prinny 2, and Phantasy Star Portable 2
I'm not playing any of those and don't plan to any time soon

The ds/3ds keep their charges for months when off but the psp dies fully within like a week

Based take, Jean d'Arc is criminally underrated. Incredible sprite work, tight tactical gameplay, and that alt-history anime flavor hits different. Level-5 really cooked with that one. Shame it never got ported or remastered, PSP exclusives like that deserve more love.

Its funny that the PSP and Vita have better exclusives then the PS4 and 5.

It would cost me about $50 to get my ancient PSP 1001 refurbished, updated with a new battery pack, a good Micro SD card, thumbstick, cables and shit. Trying to figure if it's worth it, though.

Buy a Japanese one and mod it, takes like 30 seconds and set it to English. I got a mint one that was sim card compatible for 99 USD. This is pre tariffs though.

Dissidia Duodecim 012 is legitimately one of the greatest games I have ever played. It's exploding with content on its own, and it include the entire campaign from the original title. It was a game that I would pay full price for current day. Shame they shit the bed with NT or whatever that shit was.

You dont really need one its not really a text heavy game and most dialog is really just quotes from the shows.

Even if you do need a TL just take out your phone and use Google Lens translate. Most campaigns are pretty well done though I remember I actually watched Zeta before doing its scenario and its quite well done.

This is the main reason I stopped using mine. I would have my Vita pull PSP duty, but I don't like the tiny face buttons compared to those on the PSP, but that battery is obnoxious. Now I'd rather just emulate them on my RP5 since it feels pretty close to the real thing.
