Gone are the days where you could just commission a studio like Konami, Activision, or Capcom to shit out a 2d platformer loosely following a film plot within 4 weekends. It's no longer feasible, but the license is, so instead the character models / likeness get plopped into crossovers or live service games like Fortnite, or if the studio feels really ambitious, they instead make an original title using the characters in the same universe, Like Enter the Matrix or the Insomni-verse games.
