actually ridiculous how this is still the peak of muh realism/muh details, this game had the creases on outfits modeled and it ran silky smooth on a fuckass 970
any game that lags today is because of poor optimization

I'm not sure but it was called paragon or something, it was an abandoned moba project by epicgames, way before fortnite and whatever the fuck else they do currently.
>>717307965 >and this game is by the same company behind the great demon, unreal engine 5
Which is fucking weird because the game in the image ran so smooth, epic's fall from grace is actually mythical.

It's not just the creases, it's the lighting, the textures, everything coming together all at once
It's a great achievement, which makes unreal engine 5 as baffling at it is evil
My pet theory about paragon is that timmy is so booty blasted that Gaben has mogged him for so long that he threw the whole thing in the bin and is now purposefully poisoning gaming's well out of spite

If I remember correctly the textures were fucking insane too, you could zoom in real far and the scratches on the suit would still look high definition.

detail mapping, also not cutting edge for the time, though a lot of games stopped bothering with it since they outsource all the assets to india or aim for fortnite stylization

that's fucking cool
if only companies still focues on making games look good and functional instead of hoping people will just buy new hardware while their games look the same (sometimes worse) but get more and more unoptimized
Why did it fail? I played a bit and found it decent but I'm just not into MOBAs and also the weird customization system pushed me away but I don't think it deserved to die for being a bad game.

Characters looked like they were from Anthem which also underperformed, none of them reallly grabbed me and there's a reason you only ever see closeups of the asses when these Actual Graphics threads pop up.
But the reason it shut down was that Epic got a taste of the battle royale fad money and put all their eggs into the Fortnite basket.
