I found the actual experience of getting emulators and games such a pain in the ass compared to so many other options. I really wouldn’t bother after the price hike.

You can emulate everything "retro" all the way to X360/PS3 on a Raspberry Pi for a fraction of the cost

Even modern streaming boxes like the Apple TV or Roku Ultra can do it just fine
