Nu-Minsc is genuinely funny and well-done, but unfortunately he becomes available at the point when you already have a well-established party and you've nearly finished the entire game.
He also can't use illithid powers.

in soul nomad endorph will join the players party and immediately leave the next map, he's only usable in soul nomads item world inbetween the map he joins and the map right after where he leaves. the reveal of him being walnut was still sick as fuck though

Have to use him at first, doubt anyone kept picking him for later missions.

He's like a droid but with worse skills and somehow also worse combat abilities.

I use him, if only because he's one of the few non-evil party members who is also a highly flawed person, makes big mistakes throughout his life, and actually pays a steep price for them.

He's also anti-black, in that he teaches the player not to be a deadbeat dad.

The further back you go the more of these "no one used them" characters exist. Nowadays you're kinda fucked because there's usually only 5-6 and ignoring any means missing out on big story content. This bitch was only good for her castle, for example.
