Pokemon is middling against this. It can't compete. In yugioh. Every episode there's some crazy big giant plant monster or a shadow ritual or at least a cool fucking GAME where a giant maze is summoned and Link has to navigate it while a wall-crossing monster goes for the KILL and Kaiba sends an old man in a coma before you summon EXODIA THE FORBIDDEN. Guns getting censored into fingerpointing. You're bound to see crazy stuff like that beyond pokemon. You don't anticipate an episode of pokemon as much as YGO, you do but its not the same.
