What the fuck is even the point of this?
>Buy near launch
>Play it a bit then forget about it
>Daughter gets old enough to use it
>Want to show her 360 videos on youtube
>Literally does not work when the psvr1 did
How the fuck could they fuck it up this badly? They just gave up on it. There's no reason it should have less features than the previous model. It absolutely sucks dick for my favorite game, beat saber, too. What a waste of money.

Quest 2 doesn't work on my ps5.

Does it?

Quest 2 is standalone nigga.
So is Quest 3.
You don't need a console to use it.

What about a PC?
You can use it with Steam Link if you want to, but if you just want to game most Quest 3 games are standalone, and you can do other stuff on it just fine.

I would have bought it if it had backwards compatibility with the PSVR1. I wanted to try Densha De Go and Blood & Truth. Also Summer Lesson. The entire thing seems to have been very poorly thought out.

The Quests are basically dedicated wireless VR consoles, you don't need anything else but the Quest itself. But you can also use them for PCVR, if you want.

That's another thing that pissed me the fuck off. Why is nothing backwards compatible? Beat saber works just fine on both. It's the laziest fucking cashgrab I've ever seen. This entire gen has been a shitshow for sony.

That's pretty awesome. I didn't know that. I thought they all needed pretty beefy PCs to play.

I feel bad for your young daughter.... her father is an absolute fool throwing money away without doing proper BASIC RESEARCH.
Ffs man, you couldnt take a 5 min google search in your day to see pros and cons of PSVR2 and its direct competitor (and superior) quest 3??

Because I already had a ps5 and had a psvr1 that I marginally liked. You know having one doesn't mean I can't get the other, retard.

Kek, if only you knew how much money I've thrown away being an early adopter to shit. And yet I still have money. Maybe I'll go out later and buy a quest just to spite you.

You're not spiting me one bit little bitch, i have 5 VR headsets, and have more money than you can imagine. Nice try tho.
The point still stands, you're still an idiot who doesnt do his research.

It depends on the game. More demanding games like HL: Alyx need a PC. There's an official SteamLink app on the Quest store that makes it real easy to play PC VR games on it though. So long as your WiFi situation is adequate.

It's wild, man. Sony really pulled a PS3-era move with the PSVR2-zero backwards compatibility, stripped-down ecosystem, no real first-party push, and somehow managed to make it *less* consumer-friendly than its already mid predecessor. Beat Saber running fine on both just exposes how arbitrary the limitations are. It’s like they launched it because they felt like they "should," then abandoned it faster than they did the Vita.

The dude bought a PS5, that should already tell you how much of a retard he is.

PC features being gimped was such a tard move. I almost bought one cheap second hand from some heartbroken PS5 owner.

Instead it's abandoned on PS5 and mega gimped on PC.

It's the best headset you can buy under Pimax Crystal Light
Anonymous No.717326296
no, it not beat sabre. How will you cope with a headset not being good for beatsabre?
Anonymous No.717327875

Quest 3 without a PC is not better than PSVR2, what kind of cope is that. Standalone games are still trash
Anonymous No.717327893
>>717320995
Nah, you don’t need one unless you want to run PCVR stuff like Half-Life: Alyx or modded Skyrim VR. The Quest 3 is perfectly fine as a standalone headset, but obviously you’re missing out on the heavier experiences without a PC. Still, Quest’s standalone library has gotten way better-Asgard’s Wrath 2, Red Matter 2, etc. Just don’t expect PC-level graphics without the PC.

>i have 5 VR headsets
You suddenly sound mentally ill. Should've just said you have more money than him.
Anonymous No.717329038
Don't know why ppl itt think it's shit. Got it for 300 bucks and put another 80 in a pc adapter and better pads (stock ones are horrible) imo it's one of the best bang for buck solutions if you also have a ps5, even if it performs much better on PC since ps5 rarely hits it max resolution. Only problem is the general shit support for VR and headset specific features since not even the ps5 titles make use of everything it can do. But that's something you get with all headsets.
