The idea that the world will die is literal conjecture. They didn't really attempt to save the world either because our Marchlet is way too biased against fantasy.
Even if it did, for the sake of the argument, the world could have been reborn into a new fantasy world with all the people in it. No one knows anything about new Ivalice, but they jump to crazy conclusions and confirmation biases.

A dream you witness alone is just weightless fantasy, a dream you share with others is indistinguishable from reality.

Does this matter? Marche decided that simulated lie must end and forced it to end. Some people tried to stop him but got their asses kicked. What they gonna do now? Cry? Everyone got their shit together in the end and that's for the better. They should be thankful instead or actually fight harder for what they believe in. Failure of their efforts is a testament to the right of Marche's approach.

He's a minor. Technically speaking he's not capable of intent. Still has to do some time in juvie for some of his actions like racially insulting the bangaa at the beginning for example, but he cannot be treated as an adult.
