Every time I play Half-Life, I kill the first vortigaunt enemy with the crowbar just because G-man in Episode 2 mentions their first experience with humanity being a crowbar coming at them
I also kill at least one HECU with the crowbar because I think making Hunt Down The Freeman canon is funny.

Before turning off an FPS (without that annoying modern constant autosave feature) I make a save and then shoot all the guns over and over and watch the reload animations, Got to love a good shotgun reload.

i outgrew it but i used to always save twice.

Not sure if it counts but whenever I start new game I press every button I can to check what can I do and if there are any hidden things you can do that weren't explained in the tutorial if there was any in the first place.
Also everytime I see place where you can fall from the map I check if there is invisible wall and if there is I check if there is any way to no clip through it

I always buy at least one item whenever I check a shop, just in case the game's shopkeepers have special dialogue for not buying anything.

I think that the crowbar was a metaphor for Gordon's violence BUT making it literal is pretty cool too. Do you even have guns by that point in the game though?

I refuse to attack merchants in games even if it will give me an advantage.

I always hope to find some secret so I run around the map, look at cellings and corners and always feel a bit disapointed when I don't find anything, but I also like just exploring maps in general, even if there's no reward
