I'm beginning to think part of Nintendo's marketing strategy with Switch 2 is capitalizing on their fans mania for news about anything by constantly edging them. They were edged for years on a switch 2, edged for months for a direct after finally showing it, edged through the summer til the end of July, now being edged weekly with the rumor of a third general direct following this indie one next week. I have no idea why some people act as if Silksong has exclusive marketing rights with Xbox. That has never been the case.
Both before and after the gamepass deal, Silksong has been shown off by both Nintendo and Playstation. And through other independent outlets.

And Nintendo has featured Silksong pretty heavily. They had a whole live segment on the old Silksong demo among other things.
