I am STILL waiting for RTS AI made with neural networks. Where the fuck is it? I want to play RTS against a competent AI that's just above my level. That's hard to achieve with humans since they are either too skilled too easy.

There are mods for Skyrim and fallout 4 that basically do this. They're cool but unpolished. They are the only serious attempts i've seen so far.
Kind of surprising nobody has thrown together a proof of concept in Unity or UE with a basic town and some AI driven NPCs, seems like something you could do in a couple weeks with some asset packs.
I imagine people are scared of dealing with the licensing of the models, the seething Redditors screeching about losing their jobs, and all the normies not understanding how to set things up or what a socket is.

I have not played this game, but I've read a paper on how they used neural networks on Supreme Commander 2. However, IIRC they use it only for controlling individual squads and not the strategic level. Note that this article was from 12 years ago.
