>people use those three interesting parts to claim the shitty game is actually good

Yes, we all know about the whacky song in the fully built shop. We all know about the mailman. We all know about oockkoos or whatever. There's nothing left interesting about the game other than being an edgy boring soulless OoT wannabe.

No. This shitty game is like earthbound. People claim to be huge fans many years after the fact while smelling their own farts, but when you challenge them to say a single good thing about it outside of 3 "whacky" moments, they get unmasked as the feckless hipsters they are

The game exudes soul.
Nintendofags don't deserve Zelda. When it's soulful you hate it, when it's open world slop you love it.

~20 years later is when nostalgia hits the hardest.

Anyway, the dungeons are some of the lamest in the series. They're linear and trivial, and there's often some gimmick that slows the pace, especially if you're aiming for 100%.
>forest: wait for the wind to rotate platforms (not too bad)
>volcano: walk on magnets
>lake: rotate the waterfall to reach new areas
>desert: quicksand
>temple of Time: scales and redoing the whole level backwards
>mansion: cannonballs
>sky: flying bulbs
>twilight: carrying those spheres around
>castle: I love it

Now that I think about it, in the three best moments of the game you meet King Bulblin

I think that at the time they didn't realise yet how unfun is to slow down players. There are special stages where the hazard is just making you slow in a couple of Mario sport games

People just had way more patience back then. Now people whine about having to respawn at a checkpoint instead of the exact point at which you died. Attention spans are getting shorter and shorter.

>Now people whine about having to respawn at a checkpoint instead of the exact point at which you died
This is stupid. Respawning at a checkpoint means you can naturally integrate grinding into your gameplay and learn enemy movesets without having to do dedicated study runs; plus, once you have it memorized, you can get through it so quickly it hardly matters.
It's not just poor attention span, it's gotta be some kind of generational skill issue too.

I can understand complaints about the first three dungeons since they weren't particularly interesting and you had to deal with the annoying twilight bug hunts in between but you have to be insane to to say Arbiter's Ground or Snowpeak Mansion were bad
Those two alone have often tempted me to replay the game

Based and SOULpilled. Twilight Princess oozes atmosphere in a way no modern Zelda even tries to replicate. The soundtrack, the lighting, the dungeons-it all feels like a melancholic dream you had as a kid but could never remember fully. It's like the anti-Breath of the Wild in the best way possible.

I gotta be honest, Zelda has never been all that good. It's all nostalgia, really.
What it excels at are brief moments of wonder, while the majority of the time it's fairly mediocre.
