>>717386230I think Frontiers 2 will feature Sonic Team's latest try at momentum-centric gameplay (as Kishimoto had already stated interest in attempting that even before Frontiers' expansion released) while also maintaining the same "structure" Frontiers had (open maps, fighting bosses in open areas, etc.) in an attempt to attract the same audience/sales.
At the same time I think the game's presentation will be more traditionally "Sonic", as that was a major criticism Frontiers received on release, which will end up causing disinterest in Japanese audiences to a certain degree.
It'll probably sell well since open world stuff is easy normalfag bait, but I don't expect it to surpass Sega's expectations like what happened with Frontiers' initial sales.
