>>717357275 (OP)No. Metal Gear Solid 3 remake looks to be a 1:1 remake without any meaty changes to the gameplay. In our heads MGS3 was deep in the jungle, but in reality the maps were smaller. This was the perfect chance to evolve the MGS gameplay with the power of tech advance, remember the original was on PS2 with like 32MB VRAM. It would've been very easy to re-imagine the gameplay but keep the story the same. It will be a serviceable remake for a new generation that hates PS2 era graphics, but not enough for me to say 80 dollars worth retry. There's nothing inherently wrong with 1:1 remake, but at that price that's too much for something that isn't going to wow me.
I still don't understand why they didn't even try to make the maps a little bigger for more immersion, a lot of anons who haven't replayed MGS3 in ages are going to realize how smaller the game actually is. You don't need to do open world meme at all to stretch out the maps.
