It's genuinely an epidemic resulting from single mothers being abusive to their children which causes males to inherently link fear and frustration towards their mothers with sexual arousal. Add in some classic "single mother uses son as replacement boyfriend, but doesn't fuck him" and you have a generation of hardcoded mommy issues. The latchkey generation had a similar issue but that came from mom not loving them enough and being clued out and going to swinger parties instead of being a loving mother lol.
This is all basic psychology, the writings been on the wall for a long time. In fact you can usually see one cycle of generational trauma ahead if you know what to look for
