Once you unlock your upgrades, but don't turn heat up too much, yeah, kinda. If you assemble a really good build, you can explode enemies even on higher heat levels.

hades god design was always super gay
it was a shit game anyway, one of those games that just tacks roguelite elements on to pad out the gameplay in lieu of real content, but this time it's incremental difficulty unlocks

Neither, honestly I never really understood the praise for it
Really shallow combat & mechanics, incredibly low enemy & stage variety, half the boons are very low impact and uninspired, overall a very monotonous experience even for the genre
The story pacing is terrible too idk why people liked it. You finish a 30 min run and get two whole sentences, wow, what a narrative.

It's a Roguelike ala Binding of Isaac. You go in rooms, kill all the monsters or resolve the event, and go to the next. Combat wise it's a little SHMUP but the closest is probably Bastion

These games have insane modding potential and the fact that there is no workshop integration and one has to rely on some sketchy 3rd party site is annoying.
