this mind broke me, now im concerned i sleep too much.
12 years of this and you get a whole extra year. Yeah you may have reduced brain function with a lack of sleep, but maybe diet can improve that?

Sleep is the most important part of your health. It doesn't matter how great you are at having a good diet, exercising, taking vitamin supplements, or anything else if your sleep is shit. Your mind and body will feel like shit regardless.

10-12 is definitely too much. You probably do have some kind of issue if you're sleeping that much regularly. 7-9 is the normal amount a healthy person sleeps. Do you sleep 10-12 hours straight or are you waking up frequently?

I moved 3 timezones away and my schedule has yet to become normal so I'm going to sleep at 4 to 5 am and waking at 1 to 2 pm some days and it wrecks me. I had it fixed for my new job and then they started scheduling me nights and evenings and immediately I fell back
sleep 8 hours, work 8 hours, rest 8 hours (do chores, bathe, eat, wake up early to prepare for work and travel so it's actually ~4h)
Just stop working and you get extra 8 hours for free. EZ
