Unironically, how was I supposed to do zaingeif's spin attack? It involves spinning the stick in a circle, but when you point the stick up, he fucking jumps

You hit the attack before the jump comes out, obviously. For double circles you buffer the circle like during a jump or something, then complete it when you land. Also you don't actually need to full circle. You can look that up.

easiest way is to jump first and do it as you land, or dash or press a normal that prevents you from jumping while you input up.
standing 360 isn't that hard with a little practice though. Start on forward and go forward>down>back>up then hit the button as you press up. You only need to hit each cardinal direction once so you can end on the Up input and if you press the button before leaving the ground you can get the move. 720s you probably need to buffer.

you're supposed to do the spin + button during something else you can't jump during, like blocking, jumping at them, or while doing another attack, it was a tradeoff for the move being unblockable and doing tons of damage, just like how DP was invincible and huge so it had a tricky input.

but because you don't jump the exact second you left the air, you could also just unironically spin the arcade stick + punch fast enough to do it while standing, and so in order to make this more possible instead of only for people with an actual lever stick you've only had to do like a 270% motion instead of the full 360% for like 25 years now

>For double circles you buffer the circle like during a jump or something, then complete it when you land
Or if the game has enough lag, you just learn to do it REALLY FUCKING FAST.
Nobody expects the standing neutral Gief super or ultra
Then again, they are expecting to the normal pile driver so they probably won't give you to many opportunities anyways.

This command is an excelent shitty dpad detector, most of the time those dpads will register the directions your are supossded to skip in this command, you will miss your fucking power geyser and lose the match (happened to me a lot of times... still happening, chinkhelds fucking suck)

Marvel Tokon and Street Fighter 6 have completely removed this unecessary bullshit from fighting games.
All fighting game autists on /v/ lost, we told you it was archaic design that the genre should've moved on from 10 years ago.

Joystick wiggling will never disappear entirely. Even when game characters are fully physics engine puppets, you will have to shift your weight in particular ways, and the input will come out like Z motions.

360 motion can be cut short in almost every fighting game. Try doing a half-circle back motion and end it with up+punch.
You can also use different actions such as jumping as a buffer for the motion.

it varies from game, there are games where i can get the power geyser by just input the whole half circle, and others seem to be very restrictive and want you to inut the exact sequence

The problem with taking them out is unless the fighting game is simple, there's sometimes literally not enough buttons or types of "simple motions" to have all those moves, or at least without changing the gameplay of what the moves try to do.

It's fine for games to have different levels and aspects anyways, there's always going to be a core audience for this stuff. I personally don't like games with long overdrawn combos, since I don't find memorizing them very fun, and stick to games that(Or at least games that have charcters that) have shorter combo routes. I don't think devs should just drops all marvel likes because of that though.

I feel like autists get tilted by how the motion is presented as a Z, when on a normal square gate stick you can typically do a pretty sloppy forward/down/downright quickly and it'll register in 90% of fighting games. 360s and 720s are one of the several reasons why I stay away from grapplers though. Now that I'm on leverless controller it's even worse.

There's not much reason for characters to have 12 special moves anymore. Modern fighters have shown that you can still have plenty of character variety with just 4-5 specials.

As if. The drop of complexity on characters kits in many modern character kit's drives me away from newer titles. I'm still clamoring for gief to get his green hand back. Hell, I almost didn't get 6 over it, but my friend wanted to git good at SF drove me to pick it up with him (Which he ditched in the end cause it's still to hard for him lol)

I'm really not sure about that. From my experience players that don't have the grit to get past stuff like that rarely stick around even on really simple fighters. (Just like said friend)

Smash is a really great example, it's easy to get into but like 98% of players drop it once they start to get into the meat complexities of the game that you need to succeed at pvp to any extent.

It's over for us man. That new Virtua Fighter might be the last fighting game that comes out for fighting game fans before all devs throw their hats into the "fighting game for people that don't like fighting games" ring.

it very specifically is learning, it is a small version of learning the input buffer and input interpreter systems that the games use.
please elaborate though, how is it the opposite of learning? I'm curious how you could come to that conclusion
