After being a male ho and marrying Ulalaka, Kanata, Clarice, and Kaguya (a pity marriage desu), I ended up being most enamored by Matsuri as a wife. She's always goofy and fun. The other girls seem too stale and boring after marriage. Kanata is great up until then though. Her interactions are funny with Rin. She'd be my second choice after Matsuri.

The actual art of previous Rune Factory games is still gorgeous, but the visuals are unsurprisingly not on the level of a modern release, yeah. A part of me wishes the remasters were more ambitious and gave the ingame visuals a face lift.

It was a surprise to me since I mostly just bought the game out of desperation because I wanted something else on my Switch 2 to play to break up trying to 100% Donkey Kong, but I've found myself completely engrossed. I feel like the game does really well with keeping things fresh and feeding in new content at a good rate over the course of the story. Obviously unlocking the 4 villages is the biggest set of new stuff you get in the game and that's pretty early on, but you're always unlocking something, improving something, getting more options or raising a level or meter. Lots of rewards and the split between the management and dungeoning helps too. I really hope this game does well so we can see more of the franchise in the near future.

If anyone else filled up their storage, I was a dummy and learned too late that you can just ship items directly from storage to the shipping bin. Go to the shipping bin, open the menu, and tab over to storage. Obviously you can also reroll your save, unless you only used one slot like an idiot (me).

This post will be gone soon I'm sure, but fwiw we played Guardians of Azuma with a few people in the group. Overall I think it was a fun game and it was nice to see the team experiment. The main theme of the criticisms I had were regarding the "scope". In terms of farm size, village count, NPC count, maps/dungeons, collectable/etc count etc, it seems they tried to go for quantity and neglected some smaller details. e.g. by having lots of villages, it makes it harder to write in whole families (since an entire family like the big eaters in RF2 could take up most of the slots in a village). but not having familial relationships between most characters was detrimental to the overall comfy village vibe.
