super important that the player is killed as much as possible so the game captures the necessary feelings of difficulty. the player should never "oneshot" a boss or progress smoothly through an area. they need to be killed constantly, really by any means. otherwise the game appears too easy. and if anyone complains about the game being "cheap" or "bad" other players will berate them of their own free will.
