I'm not a fan of the Imperials but I have this strange obsession with Jarl Balgruuf. I'm his homie, chained together by blood and steel. As a token of my esteem. I'll do whatever it takes to let this one character retain the last vestiges of normalcy in a world gone mad.

What gets me about Empire supporters is:

>The Empire had to secede territory and the worship of their god, the patron god of mankind no less Talos to elven scum

The lore is complicated enough I think. Keeping the player on a tight leash where they are always more of a mythical, unknown factor that pushes the wheel of destiny is a smarter choice in the long run.

The very last thing this series would ever need is "those" guys screeching about their past choices in a save from 8 years ago and how they expelled everyone and where's MY alternate timeline choices and blhblhablhblhblaahb. Just, could we not go down that route. We've seen it play out over and over again. It stifles everything when devs try it and everyone gets to be mad when they eventually abandon it. Makes things so messy. Let's just not do that.
