I don't play D&D so I don't know if that's just how it is, but my main issue with the combat was that all the fun spells are concentration. So you're disincentivized from experimenting with them in favor of just using the ones that are objectively best in 99% of situations.

CC and debuffs are insanely fucking useful, and if you think otherwise you just have not played higher difficulties, straight up, there is no other way.

CC just isn't the insanely OP end all be all that it is in DOS1 where you can just stack initiative and spam them from turn 1 and the enemy can never even move.

Marked, Madness, Slow, Teleport, Warm, Wet are all not affected by armor.

Additionally, Burn, Poison, Bleed, Necrofire, Acid, Suffocating, Entangled, Deathwish, and Ruptured Tendons are not affected by armor with the Torturer talent.

And it goes without saying that any enemy on the field with their armor stripped is fully vulnerable to CC, and generally enemies have more HP than armor.

So that's a lot of uses for CC. Now fuck off retard

I'm not even sure what fight you're referring to, but just goes to show how many interactions there are. In addition to the many found in the environment that can shift the tide of a fight, you also have synergies between the elements you create which can be devastating. No other game does this so well.

Also many of these require both skill and dialogue checks, where not only do you need a baseline skill in a category, but you also have to read the character's motivations and personality to determine what dialogue option response is best. Yes, by significantly weakening your character by doing shallow multi-classing in multiple trees just for their movement abilities, as well as taking multiple points of memory away from vital skills. For some characters that *really* need a ton of mobility this might be worth it, but there is a ton of tradeoff for this.

Plus you have talents like Pawn that give you free movement every turn, as well scoundrel that increases your distance per AP, so it's not like spamming mobility spells is the only method way to have mobility.

You're such a disingenuous idiot that shows at every fucking turn that you have a shallow understanding of the game from playing (probably not even beating) the game on lower difficulties.
