Make friends online :D. Or just queue up for ranked mode with a Buddha-like tolerance for losing.

Can you swing them to other platform fighters or are the rosterfags?

>friends don't want to play fighting games
>but they like watching me play fighting games
>finally convince them to try some out
>nonstop complaining that it's too hard, it takes too much time to learn, etc. and nobody wants to play me because I'm "too good"
>all hope dies when Marvel Rivals comes out and they all latch onto that
>back to square one

This is a loop I've been on before, but I'm a little extra salty with this one because those fuckers wouldn't stop talking about how they couldn't do the time commitment to learn a fighting game, and now they have hundreds of hours in Rivals.

I was in this situation and by some divine miracle I got them to try and play Tekken 7 for a little bit. It was a glorious time albeit short. I even hid my power level so I didn’t up turning them off by always winning. They still dropped it eventually though. Oh well

It literally doesn't have to be hard to figure out a fighting game nor does it have to take long to figure it out to be at an enjoyable level.
> Learn how to Reversal.
> Learn how to Aerial.
> Learn mid-range combo starter.
> Learn your option for close range guard breaks for low and mid strikes into a combo launcher you can spam.
> Learn how to block/parry/play neutral.
Literally its just that easy to pick up fighting games, just tell them that.

it literally all boils down to the ego-burden a 1v1 environment comes with. losing makes him feel inadequate and shit. meanwhile in marvel's overwatch he can blame teammates every time

Does anyone actually get into fighting games because someone forced them to play it with them?
It always seems like these stories always feature people who never seem to get into fighting games naturally and it's a situation forced upon them.
I guess I just never hear about the people who do get into fighting games.

I got into them because I saw a commercial for super street fighter 4 on TV while I was wondering what game to get next on my 360 since I didn't like shooters
Saw blazblue at the gamestop I went to get it at, bought them both since they were dirt cheap and that's how I got into both games and the genre at large

I had this happen with a few friends, we had a few games on rotation, but SFxT ended up the main one because we all had fun 2v2ing each other. Only really fell off because of work and college and me being the only one that kept playing fighters
