Assassins Creed RPGs
>promising cinematic beginning
>ok revenge arc beginning
>slop
>abrupt mediocre ending
>conveniently placed slop dlc with 25% better writing

I refuse to believe this method is somehow more profitable than writing a good plot

What do you do if you have everything else, but don't have enough writers who CAN make a good plot?

And consider ubi's games that have even less plot.

I don't have anymore

But they do have writers and they do have funds, unfortunately the studios they choose have 0 interest in the AC franchise

Start off with AC2 and watch the plot of 1 on youtube

Only Black Flag is good, and that's if you ignore the assassin part.

1 is a tech demo, you can just watch the story somewhere.
Ezio's trilogy is nice. Nothing amazing but I did enjoy a lot to see him grow from a young adult to handsome daddy, maturing in the process.
3 is another tech demo.
4 (black flag) is by far the best one and could've been one of the best pirate games ever made had it not been an AC game, since the assassin mechanics and stuff get in the way most of the time. Still really cool and Edward too based for this franchise.
Beyond that it is a mixbag, some people love or hate the other takes and the franchise ascends to uberslop once it reaches the Origins reboot.

Overall, it's a frustrating franchise. The original idea was cool, but so was just having action adventure games set in diferent time periods. They didn't have the balls to go full on either side and it suffers a lot from it.
Personally, I think they should've tossed away the whole assassin stuff and focus on making isolated, somewhat historically accurate games. People underestimate the historical power of AC a lot. Back when 2 released, colleges reported a notable increase in people going for history careers, it genuinely made people interested in history and culture and that's cool as fuck, but eventually focused on sales and slop.
