Why are you against dedicated servers, exactly?

Why can't video game producers just put in their terms of service "we don't control the content in user-run servers"? And then add options to disable voice and text communication, along with disabling all other custom content like sprays and mods. With said options being enabled by default.
So if an angry mom says that her son jumped off a bridge because of the game the game creators can easily say it's not their fault.

Halo: Reach did it the best.
Matchmaking has social and competitive. On top of that you can choose preferred connections with people who are chatty/silent, rowdy/polite, lone wolves/team players, etc. If there's not enough people it'll just match whoever but if there's enough people with this set in your psych profile you'd always get the experience you want.

I miss this so much. I miss finding a place that plays the maps/modes I like and getting acquainted with all the regulars over time. I hate that this was taken from me.

How else are they supposed to scrape user data to feed with matching algorithm to ensure you okay for hours and buy cosmetics?

Games used to be rated R because you could go through a 78 step process to find an easter egg that showed a 10x10 pixel art of a naked woman
Companies WILL be held accountable for every single little thing in a game, it doesn't matter how well it's hidden or if it's even put there by the developers

Don't push on the player something the developers did because players pretend to want equal skills but are just addict to see their own ranking go up.

Before matchmaking you had the good players teaching the bad one and good players would enjoy the added challenge, showing by example how to play. all this leading to actual teamwork.
After matchmaking became common, only your score matter so it's a slow grind until you are put with players who are always at your level and don't give a fuck about teamplay.

Toxic fanbase is always a problem, so fuck them until they learn to be proper human being.
