I think that Omega Force has their hands full with the new Hyrule Warriors and a large Dynasty Warriors Origins expansion.
One Piece is still massive so I have no doubt that a 5th game is somewhere in the pipeline.

Any opinions on giant characters?

A remember a regular complaint about Pirate Warriors 4 is that the DLC are just characters and don't have anything other than just being there and you replay stages. . . like no story, no new maps, no carefully crafted interactions with other characters.

This was after the first DLC so they might have fixed all that by now.

Also the speedrunning community decided to just run one particular map and the only real obstacle is killing bosses as fast as possible so there's only one optimal build/strategy. In part 3 you usually had to change skillsets per map since each map had different purposes/goals. In part 4 killing boss chars is the only real obstacle and you can keep the same build for every map if you wanted. Game isn't that good overall.

Would be nice to get some more maps with character pass 3.

There's been multiple packs since the game released in 2020. The first one was
>Judge, Cracker, Smoothie, Killer, Drake, Urouge, Kinemon, Kiku, Oden
Then in 2023 they dropped 9 more
>Gear 5 Luffy, Yamato, Hybrid Kaido, Uta, Film Shanks, Koby, Roger, Rayleigh, Garp
And now in 2025 they're adding more, but we don't know how many yet.
