*sigh*
I remember when Final Fantasy was all about le super serious gothic low fantasy grimdark grounded storytelling! And all characters were masculine too!
What a betrayal!
>>717420781 >that final fantasy had the same aesthetic and clothing style since the begining
yeah.. OP's pic is totally the same aesthetic as the pic ff14 started as, I can see it

You don’t understand. Garlemald and magitek exists, so that means modern day real life clothing perfectly fits the game’s aesthetics and you aren’t allowed to complain about it
>>717421636 >yeah.. OP's pic is totally the same aesthetic as the pic ff14 started as, I can see it
Is like it changes depending of the place or something
I liked the patch. I think the conclusion was good enough, it was neat to get to see custom animations based on the Job, as well as the WoL actually do something in a cutscene. That said, it feels like retreading ground after the entire expansion of EW with the fear of death and everything.

i haven't finished it yet, but a lot of times where you'd see wuk shoehorned, you either have speen or krile beside you
krile's participation has been surprisingly high
wuk is still around, but she self exiles with the twins early on

futuristic city with skyscrapers is pretty different because we kind of know it opens the door further for more modern clothes and more modern settings.

personally, i think it won't happen
making a mobile version of such a vast game is a massive misstep, and will EoS two years top after release.
why? the cbu3 playerbase isn't mobile centric, just like it isn't console centric either

What a weird pic. >the only girl is just far in the background >two guys featured more prominently in the image >they're both completely covered though
If they were trying to appeal to fags why not just make the men shirtless?

That door has literally always been open. That said, the issue isn't modern clothes or fabrication techniques that you'd see in the modern day, the problem is the increase in gear lacking in fantastical elements that belong in a fantastical game. Modern clothes given fantastical aspects where they look like they belong on some crazy european runway would be fine, but they're introducing things that aren't that.

it sucks. you have a gorillion of fan artists making great designs on twitter, most of them posting lewd shit.
if SE was smart, they'd capitalize on the thirst.
put a skimpy bikini on the shop. sure people will cry about "muh cash shop", but the amount of players that will buy it, will silence the cries

And FF14 looks like FF14, it would be different if tomorrow they released a Final Fantasy 2 remake with californians instead of Amano designs
>>717421636
you could wear a tuxedo and leopard print swimwear in ARR, the game is also full of mechs literally ripped from other FF games
This argument could also simply be leveraged with FFVIII's regular aesthetic versus the smaller villages versus Esthar
Or cocoon vs pulse
