BG3 developers has commited one of biggest sins againsr media and culture possible. Through depicting most "good" humanoid characters with bland ugly faces (except dindu tieflings) and only the vilest main villains with good faces with good proportions developers have (clearly intentionally) pushed "beauty bad, ugly good" poison. And even evil drow had her face uglyfied right at the moment of developers making her into a companion at all.

Exactly. Just because something builds on past ideas doesn’t make it bad or unworthy of praise. BG3 refined so much of what DAO tried to do - better writing, actual choice consequences, god-tier presentation. It's like praising a gourmet meal but shitting on it because “mac and cheese already existed.” Doesn’t make sense.

All those games comes from the same branch, classic RPGs made by BioWare and Black Isle like Baldur's Gate and Fallout*. It was later on carried by Troika (dead), Obsidian (shadow of the former self) and somehow BioWare (should be dead). Not it's mostly carried by the likes of Larian and Owlcat.
*Not to mention that those also come from much older branch, with stuff like Ultima, Stonekeep and even older titles.
