It’s never been more over. Everyone wanted a Halo show when they were kids. Fans were lucky enough to see one made in the absolute worst era of Hollywood in history. After 15 consecutive years of failures by 343 Microsoft destroys the studio by keeping the top level hierarchy and just renaming it.

Instead of releasing 1 game every 10 years release more games that target different audiences. TRVKE /v/ doesn't want to accept is that gamers don't want a slow floaty shooter like Halo anymore and the gameplay needs to speed up and iterate. They could split the games into 1 series for chief for the boomer audience and 1 following a new character like ODST or Reach to add a lore reason for updating the gameplay. Or just do a campaign with classic Halo gameplay and balance the multiplayer differently. Either way you're in denial if you think a game as slow as Halo can cut it in a post fortnite/warzone era.

Halo Infinite did the impossible. It perfectly linked Bungie Halo with 343 Halo while also translating Halo gameplay into an open world on their first try. 343 is so talented!!

I would only be happy with a hard reboot that stays 100% loyal to the original vision Halo 1 and particularly Halo 2 had. Absolutely ZERO dumb extra characters no one wants. Keep it simple and give us the original characters.
I know this will never happen lol but it's the only way for the franchise to gain a good following again. Bringing back the Forerunners in a dumb way and making Cortana a villain was absolutely catastrophic and it killed this franchise.
