Dreamcast has 2 CDs, way less content, uncensored Aika's rapist's body hair and slightly better music and visuals
Also I never tried using any dreamcast emulators so I don't know how good they compared to Dolphin is which is pretty damn amazing
Gamecube version is great, easy to emulate and the game itself is really charming

It's not that, it's more the encounter rates and unskippable animations that are the issue.
Most people I know would not put up with up to 20 minutes of staring at boat asses during the air ship battle segments.

Kinda, yeah. It gets in the way of the game sometimes. I think straight up removing encounters from certain places would help out a lot which they basically do sometimes but not often enough

my whole life is a lie. the gamecube version only has piastol and a couple of bounty fights going for it then. if i replay through the game again, i might just do the dreamcast version.

Things can be turn based and fun, unfortunately for this game you have
>the strat for every single random fight is having Aika use Lambda Burst
>every single offensive magic spell is irredeemably bad when used by you
>all support spells are better off used in item form
>every boss fight can be reduced to using Increm on Vyse and he uses Pirate's Wrath / Cutlass fury while everyone else just becomes focus bots, if characters are getting hit really hard also use Increm on them and/or spam Shield of Justice / Delta Shield
Your solution to some of these might be to not care and play sub optimally however I also find the game to be too slow on top for me to consider it myself
