I never understood extreme brand loyalty.
There are people who genuinely wont play games even if they have an option to do so if it does not come to their favorite console.
Basically its the Nintendo fans who Played Dark souls for the first time because it finally got a Switch release (even thou it ran at 30 fps invalidating the whole point of a remaster) or are playing Cyberpunk for the first time because its finally on nitnedo.
And not just Nintendo fans. My friend who owed a PS4 and now PS5 was a big JRPG fan and wanted to play Octopath even if his old gaming PC could run it at max settings but because it was not on a Sony console he avoided playing the game for years till it finally got a Sony release.
Mind you i kinda get it to an extend because he is also obsessed whit trophies and believed it was a matter of time in games but Nintendo has no such thing and many great games will simply never come to the Nintendo console.
I used to own nearly all consoles because of exclusives but nowadays i just play everything on PC and have a Switch for the exclusives so the idea of only gaming on a single system is insane to me.

Most consoomers are literal cattle. They get emotionally attatched to a brand because they've been conditioned to do so. Why do people buy the newest slop like Cod even though they bitch and moan anout it being shit? Because they feel the need to do so, thinking that buying the next product will somehow improve the situation. Tendies probably got hooked on kiketendo because they made all the games they played as a kid

Some people have so little going on on their lives that meaningless garbage like this ends up being the only thing they can control and substitute actual value or purpose with this.

>Your LSM score is 0.88
Compared to other online chats that we have analyzed, your LSM score is slightly below average To give you an idea, most LSM scores for online chats range between .75 and .95, with an average around .84. The more that the two people are paying attention to each other in their interaction, the higher the LSM.

meh, the crown still owns us. Lots of old pictures and currency from the decades after the revolutionary war that supposedly depicts george washington is actually(and clearly if you look at comparisons) of king george III.

Console loyalty isn't half as cancerous as franchise loyalty. Braindead fans keeping a series "alive" in a zombie state through buying horrible sequels cobbled together by studios that don't have a single original developer of the original game people actually liked.

You're mixing loyalty and cultish fanaticism, mr. bootlicker.

OPs not wrong doe

Millions of tendies suddenly like Elden Ring now that it's confirmed for Switch 2, when before it was a game they saw as 'lesser'.

No one wanted (or could afford) to have a gazillion consoles at their house, of course people'd rally for the ones they owned. I personally was loyal to PC because that's what I had, and treated console owners like niggers nearly all my life. It's different nowadays though, some just never dropped the habit.

I don't have brand loyalty in the sense that I pick one and always support them, I work the other way around where I give everyone a chance until they do something that pisses me off so much that I dislike them, and it takes A LOT to make me let go of that hatred, but I will if they improve enough

For example I grew up buying AMD CPUs because of the price and decent gaming performance, but Bulldozer was so fucking bad that I switched to Intel and AMD didn't see a penny from me for 14 years, and that was because they put the work in to improve with Ryzen whilst Intel just sat on their laurels and shit the bed with overpriced products

nowadays though I think every console manufacturer is a cunt:
Sony are arrogant dickheads who keep making shitty games that lose loads of money when they tank
Microsoft are retarded with nearly EVERY decision they make, to the point where they would be bankrupt 5 time over if Xbox was the only source of income they had
Nintendo are greedy pieces of shit who sell underpowered hardware to their audience of manchildren whose mentality is "I grew up playing a nintendo console, SO NOW I'M GOING TO BE THE BIGGEST SHILL FOR THEM FOREVER REGARDLESS OF THE ANTI-CONSUMER SHIT THEY CONSTANTLY IMPLEMENT!"

I'm not explicitly "anti-console", because I feel like the form factor has merit, but I think all of the big 3 aren't worth giving money to any more due to greed and terrible business decisions

Why be loyal to someone who isn't loyal to you? That's just subservience
