A short history lesson for the new Turtle fans: Nostalrius was one of the last true passion projects in the private server scene,
ultimately ended by a C&D from Blizzard around 2015. This server was massive and played by everyone. They never took donations,
never had any major drama, and had insane quality for the time. After their shutdown, they gave their core and database to Elysium.
This was a massive deal at the time since everyone was dying to play their beloved Nostalrius again. Elysium was a small vanilla
server running for profit at the time and was run by Shenna (Torta). They went non-profit and agreed to host it. From there on,
it was daily drama and shady actions from Shenna (Torta) and Crogge (Bowser) trying to cash in. A couple of years later, Shenna (Torta)
and Crogge (Bowser) were caught spawning gold and selling it. The entire core and database were taken and spun off to a new project
called Light's Hope, which removed Shenna and Crogge. From then on, it was considered one of the best experiences and ran full
progression with minimal drama until Blizzard announced Classic, at which point they shut down.

I barely played WoW before and turtle is fun, and not too hard, just dont pull more than one mob at a time.
Theres also addons you can install that basically play the game for you, showing you exactly where to go if you don't like reading.
Not like you can fuck up leveling much besides spending gold on useless shit.
The best part of turtle is that people are eager to party up for quests and will help you with most stuff most of the time if you just ask.

I don't consider playing a game with another class to be "new content". The actual content of the game is the same, but your experience is different.
New experience and custom content are similar things, but I would argue that putting soulslike combat in 1-to-1 Classic Azeroth wouldn't really have custom content, it's Classic WoW with a different combat system. Similarily if you'd take Classic WoW classes 1-to-1 and put them into a completely different world with completely different quests etc, it'd be filled with custom content, even if the gameplay experience was largely the same.

I was able to play for an hour when it first “launched” and I tried some of the starting zones and I didn’t like what I saw. They gave Undead the ability to transform into any other undead creature in the game so in the undead starting zones there were tons of people running around as Stitches and undead horses, it was the most ridiculous funserver shit I’ve ever seen. Then in the Human zone they completely redid Goldshire and added a bunch of useless buildings and made the inn really small for some reason and it’s no longer comfy.

i honestly dont think the queues will be that bad. 32k people voted on the poll but that doesnt mean 32k people will all try to play at the same time. last server test worked fine with 5k people, so it can handle 10k people with their 2 servers. i doubt more than 33% of the playerbase will be online simultaneously, so the population should be fine.
