Individually they might not stick to it, but it's more about dealing with the constant influx of tourists that's most likely going to be disappoint, as the genre makes very few, half-hearted attempts at catering to the average modern gamer.

What happened?

One of my favorite game series self-sabotaged any attempt for global recognition so it's all good, for now

gunbird is a really shitty game where every character who isn't female goku is total ass.

Marion is gud? She is so good at pointblanking that my first serious 1cc attempt with her was nearly no miss, I unironically died once at the final boss because I wanted to pointblank so hard I forgot I had no more bombs on the current stock.
