A complete tone change on par with jak 1 to 2.
I loved banjo when i was a kid, but modern kids will not suddenly fall in love with the character if he came out now and as a grown ass adult i can’t really see myself sitting down playing bing bing wahoo.
I also think it would be way more funny and memorable then just releasing yet another 3d platformer
The best course would be just not making a banjo 3, the window is lost. But if it had to be made i really hope they do something bizzare and interesting

Its just like how people cope about crash 4, and crash 4 has its problems sure but you’re extremely minor gripe is not why it failed as a product. It failed because activision thought their was a massive audience for crash games after the crash trilogy but that was just 30 something grown men replaying the first 2 hours of their favorite crash game before being all nostalgia out of platformers going back to call of duty. Its why i think spyro remastered failed despite being almost as popular.
Banjo 3 can still be a playformer but it needs something to stand out so it doesn’t feel like im playing a romhack of kazzooie. And a bit more edge like killing off characters like they did with bottles but twisted in a more black comedy or extreme way

Then why did I enjoy my recent replay of BK last month so much? Literally I had way more fucking fun and enjoyment playing BK again than I have for the vast majority of games in the last 5 years

There's certainly THINGS to not like about BK, maybe even a lot of things. But to dislike the entire game overall, as a whole....You'd have to be a sociopath or something, idk. It's too well-made
