I'm almost at the final part of the game and I really love it, so Im willing to cut the devs some slack. Perhaps they got memed by hollyjew to use U5? I dont know. There are lots of visual artifacts here and there thanks to lumen shitting itself, and you will encounter framerate hiccups occasionally.
All those visual issues dont distract from the overall experience, but pretty sure this game would be better off with U4

Lumen does. Lumen is "let's achieve raytracing but without leveraging any dedicated hardware to make it good" which either results in extremely heavy poorly performance lighting, or decently performing lighting that ghosts and leaves trails. That's why you'll get that weird ghosting in E33 even on native or without antialiasing.

I did everything in the game. From a gameplay perspective, I noticed how terrible and inconsistent the platforming was the mantling. From a visuals perspective, I noticed all the blur and dithering and weird lighting artifacts. You sound like a tendie with how much you ignore game performance.

Nah it's Lumen in this case. The ghosting remains the same even when you force temporal antialiasing and postprocesing off.

Optimization is just a lost art. It's not because of UE5 or whatever, it's just that people don't give a fuck about it anymore, they just expect the hardware to deal with it.

Few things are more annoying than starting some, maybe 2D or low poly or whatever, no focus on graphics and not doing any hardcore simulations or such things in the background, and my computer starts being loud. Why?
