Doing missions gives you gems (check all the missions available to you), gems buy you packs, packs give you cards, cards can be dismantled to give dust, and dust can be used to craft cards.
Dismantling gives 10 points while crafting requires 30.

DO NOT WASTE "UR" (ULTRA RARE) CRAFTING POINTS ON RANDOM SHIT.
Spend N and R dust however you want. SR is in between.

Going off of the accessory descriptions and the myth itself, it seems that the girl in the card is not A Bao. The evil face on the staircase behind her must be. They didn't give them out. At least officially, the conspiracy is the "bug" was intentional to create debt and force paypigs to pay their way out of debt.
There was a bug that, cutting out alot of context here, essentially menuing properly under the right circumstances, would net you 900ish gems per rotation, you just open and close menu. In turn, people saw an opportunity to steal from on of the most well kept corporations in one of the money hungriest country, and didn't expect to be punished for abusing a system that bypassed the intended financial gameplay loop.
As such, all gems that were stolen (and yes, they can tell the difference between your base gemmies and stolen gemmies) were subsequently "reacquired" so to speak, leaving many anons in debt for the amount they stole.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper had a bug where for a few short hours on the beginner banner every single pull would be a 5* item. You could keep everything you pulled on it even after it was patched.

Star Ocean Anamnesis had a bug where the pull rates on the first Valkyrie Profile were incorrect. Once they fixed it they gave back all the currency you spent on the banner AND let you keep everything you pulled.

That's a misunderstanding of the premise of what happened. Konami is only taking the gems, so players who were fast acting were able to pull packs and gain the system without punishment by acquiring other in game currencies colloquially called "dust". Rarity dust, especially Super and Ultra are much harder to come by, not to mention one of the most anticipated decks this year just dropped a couple days ago, players could easily have abused the glitch and built a deck, and gained dust out of it too. Konami isn't taking cards away from players, they get to keep their dust. This means players who went DEEP now have enough dust to bypass the gem system cis the dust system for probably the end several releases.
Konami doesn't hate it's players, but like any corporation, will defend it's financials.
