This question kinda unrelated but I don’t know where else to ask. I apologize for phoneposting. What’s a good proxy service for shitposting on 4chan? What would you recommend? I like the idea of 4chan(dot)gday but I don’t feel comfortable using it. Too many bad actors using it to share “you know what”. I don’t want anything to do with that shit. I just want to shitpost. If there’s no other alternative and I end up having to use it, is it safe to use? As long as I don’t personally use gday for illegal activity I should be fine, right? For example, if the website gets in trouble later down the line, I won’t have the police at my door?

Linux has its own quirks but learning new things there feels rewarding, it is just way more logical and intuitive

My experience on windows on the other hand was usually the following:
ok, so this update gives you some cryptic error and google gives you no answers outside of some microsoft forums without any real answers?
No worries, just delete some dll files in your system32 folder as recommended by some indian guy on youtube, run some ancient cmd-based scanning util and then suddenly it starts working again

I'm with you there, I'm only on windows because of the random breaks and some software I use, I much prefer using Linux because I tell it exactly what I want done and it does it or tells me why not.
but with all the shit I dealt with at that job, and personally the times an update to gnome breaks because some contributor was too poor to test on more than his config, I cbf tinkering with it anymore.

im hoping for mass adoption with steamOS so that there's someone with money/influence at the helm, so that it gets the support (internally and externally) it needs.

Linux still is far inferior to Windows. The only way it could not be, and this would be an extremely miraculous occurrence, would be if Windows truly became so cataclysmically dogshit so as to become completely unusable and actual big companies worked together to make a serious Linux distro and port all their Windows-only software there. But this miracle would be far off in the future.

your company gives you a shitty laptop for this
>>have to emulate nearly all vidya
this "emulate" works pretty well these days
>>Nvidia drivers are shit, but AMD GPUs are dogshit for anything that's not gaming
old myth, though Nvidia mostly only focuses on their newer cards
you just want one that's good at Vulkan
AMD can do AI sloppa just fine, rocm/zluda/etc. have done a lot for compatibility
