>>717465424>But isn't that whole deal still about a very very small amount of the population, even if it was true?It was more about how the vaccines weren't safe because they were rushed without normal proper diligence (true) and also that they weren't effective (also true). Sweden instituted a herd immunity policy where they just accepted everyone was going to catch it and then get over it, while carefully watching people who were most at risk, which is what right-wingers wanted.
What we got instead was extreme government overreach with many people being fired if they didn't take an unproven experimental shot for what was essentially a very bad cold, businesses closed down by the thousands (and their market share replaced by big business who could weather the storm), increases in budget for enforcing these laws against the will of nearly everyone, and growing libshit compliance with whatever they're told to do.
The biggest kicker for me is that people would get violent and almost rabid over fact that everyone will die if they don't get vaxxed and keep 3 metres apart, then suddenly george floyd dies and NOBODY gives a shit anymore. Massive crowds with no concern over airborne toxins and even the experts who said you couldn't go to church because that's too crowded said "oh yeah no go ahead and riot lol it's all good"
To this day I still haven't gotten a good answer as to the logic for that last part. They believe both things to be true (crowds will kill everyone) (crowds will kill no one if it's about racism) at the same time.
