I kinda agree, but the overuse of the "mechanic" over the decades has made it overstay its existence, before it was justified because of hardware limitations but nowadays there's no excuse to do every game either all the way real time or at least Paper Mario/M&L kind of gameplay.

Turn based is only acceptable on SRPG.

As an enjoyer of Jap media, and a hater of Western leftoid fag shit, the left-most games are (mostly) actual RPGs.
JRPGs are a genre of their own, and rarely, if ever, allow for proper roleplaying.
Best you get is ARPGs like Dark Souls.

fallout, elder scrolls, kotor, and mass effect (only the first, fuck 2) are great too.
but diablo, baldurs gate, d&d shit, warcraft, dragon age, and warhammer (not really rpg but throwing it in) are complete dogshit. like when people say they like these games my brain generates the same shock and disgust reaction as being told they like eating cardboard or fucking dogs.

If this is implying Fallout 1-2 and Arena/Daggerfall are better then Im sorry but theyre shit. Yes from Fallout 3/Morrowind onward theyre still flawed games, not as good as the real rpg masterpieces out there, but at least its not actual trash like those early games
