I found couple weeks ago incredibly good, stylized, top down action roguelite with very good pixel graphics and theme on Switch 2 eshop, I somehow managed to get 60 hours on this game already and I still constantly play it on my second monitor while watching youtube videos. Game is so good I might buy second copy for my switch 1, but also it got me curious if it's a game I can recommend for my pal who's only got PS4. Well weirdly enough, after taking a look at the game at ggdeals (site I've been using to find games), this seems to be only for PC and Switch, for some damn reason?

I kid you not guys, I went into this game thinking "yeah I'll give it a try, only 5 bucks" with not the highest expectations, but this is turning out to be another killer app (along balatro, which I also had to rebuy for switch 1) for Switch 2. I recommend it everyone who has Switch 2 , but also found it curious they for some reason did not make PS4 or PS5 ports of this game, cause this game is cheap enough even brokie friend of my could've bought if it was on PS Store.

Also I'm open for recommendations if anyone can recommend me any similar games, I gave artifact seekr a try but it's floaty 3d jank on unity engine, it doesn't have the tightness that this 2d pixel game has. I'm new to this genre so pls recommend if there are more good top down games like this (with emphasis on bullet helly hordes). And obviously for switch

It looks cool but it might not be hordish enough. In scarlet tower there's hordes of enemies constantly coming, it has almost bullet hell feel to it

Vampire Survivors

Even on PC, I think closest thing to capture this vibes is the eroge game Glory & Miserable Survivors DX

On steam, the tags I see for VS-clones are "action roguelike" and "bullet hell". They really should just make a tag called VSlikes since that was the first game in this genre that really exploded in popularity, but just look up games with those two tags and you'll see a bunch other games in the same vein. I haven't played every single VS-clone so there's probably some other good ones like it
