You have to do a lot of tinkering with it. Ive seen people spawn them in then use the Proteus settings to apply the respective character's visual preset onto them to fix the issues. I never had any severe issues with it outside of save game hiccups, but I never touched character swapping.
Back on LE, I set it up so that I had my Vigilant and Thief characters clearing through the Solstheim questline with my Dragonborn as an epilogue of sorts for both of them.

just spent an hour trying to fix my instant crash issue. crashlog analyzers are pointing at a new mod every time I remove the mod it complained about last time. at one time I thought modding was fun but I think I was retarded because modding hasn't changed. fuck this I'm going to play a game then jerk off instead of trying to combine the two things.

i think i've browsed nexus/modbooru enough that i can identify the gender of the creator based on the taste/aesth alone. especially for NPC replacers, followers, presets or lood armors

Instant crash = missing or corrupt file, including possible masters etc. If nothing obvious then just do a binary search (disable by halves until you find it). If you organise by category and test in blocks its also easier as when you crash will indicate what type of file is the issue ane you can disable category blocks.

Any way to get multiple body types in the game currently? When I last considered modding coomer shit into the game around 2015 getting more than one body type into the game meant that every body type other than the base body type be armors which was annoying and time intensive. I just want some variety and realism, I'm not even really into the skimpy armors. Typically I spend months meticulously nitpicking and building an enormous mod list and then never actually play the game for any length of time.
