Some insane collector hijacked the expired copyright of this game (the original devs are defunct) and few years ago and went on insane power trip to erase all once free uploads of the game on the internet, uploads of the soundtrack rip, even videos that merely showed gameplay of it got struck down.

It sort of generated a Streisand Effect scenario where lots of commentators talked about the situation, bringing more awareness of this once very obscure game.

They uploaded eight Cookie's Bustle clips in a row, which is highly unorthodox of them since they usually only do one clip per game. This led to the game getting a glimmer of popularity among connoisseurs of obscure games. Moreover, ClassicsOfGame's videos all follow the title format "Classics Of Game nnn" where nnn is the upload number. When the Cookie's Bustle clips got taken down, their absence was especially conspicuous since a bunch of numbers were suddenly skipped. This led to people leaving comments in almost every ClassicsOfGame video asking "what happened to videos 134 through 141" at which point a bunch of people would reply talking about the copyright strikes. From here, the Streisand effect took over and the game started getting popular in other circles of the internet.
