The problem is that, even if your story is good, the gacha model brings it down by interrupting it every 5 seconds for a random fight, separating it by chapters just so they can get "unlocked" on different days, or being written at a slow pace so they can stretch it for several years. CounterSide, Tales of Crestoria and Heaven Burns Red suffer from these. Even Hoyo games do this shit, but those also suffer from shitty padded writing.
