You're right but the Internet is MUCH worse than it was even 10 years ago, and even then it was rather mediocre. At least the leaves and Aussies making retarded incomprehensible posts were just trying to be funny and normalfaggotry hadn't encroached on the wilder parts of the web (which were dying even then) too much.


Now literally everything is a toxic sludge of fermented shit, low attention spans and AI generated or straight up brain-numbing posts on all platforms 24/7. I am more aware than I was then, but if the Internet stayed like it did in 2015, it wouldn't be great but it certainly would be usable and have its moments every now and then compared to the shithole the Information Highway became post 2016/7 and especially post Covid.
