Just paid $800 for a brand new New 3DS, never opened
Worth every penny. Why the fuck are there so many gems on this system that have never been released anywhere else. And even if they were, if you want to play them in actual 3D, like they weren’t intended - you must own real hardware. No way to emulate a 3D display. At least the shit is easy to jailbreak, if you’re not a retard and follow all the directions. Many thanks to the wizards who made it so streamlined.
I will happily admit: it sucks the 3DS got so expensive in the past 7 years when they used to be a clearance item, and I’ll be paying a Klarna loan for it at $70 a month for the next year but at least I own one finally, and since it’s brand new - I know I’m the only one who’s grubby mitts have been on it. Used ones are just a few hundred dollars but damn it feels good to own new hardware from the past. The regular sized New 3DS seems to be especially rare in the states as they mainly released those god fucking awful XL editions that look blurry and feel bad in your hands. And you want the “New 3DS” cause the 3D is massively improved and the games run a lot smoother on it.
Anyways, this game is one of the best Zelda’s ever, and it’s exclusively on 3DS. They were really cooking with this shit - the sword is smooth, action feels good, 3D looks fantastic. I’m in heaven, and happy since it’s been 12 years since I played it. Also looking forward to Super Mario 3D Land and Samus Returns as well. This will help fill the hole after the magical experience that was Tears of the Kingdom that I just finished on my Switch 2.
