1-2 hours until release
>no motherfucking preload
what the fuck?
>pre-load on PC with strong CPU and fast NVMe
>shitty PC with average SATA SSD downloads the game on release faster
Pre-load is a meme if you have a decent connection
>>717498392these posts are so stupid because simply posting here is free advertizing
>>717498713at least we've moved on from trannies being LE BIG BAD to pajeets being the boogeyman
>>717498229 (OP)cringe game, not even pirating it
>>717498229 (OP)games have been shift after mafia 1
>>717498860i tried the stress test and lasted 30 minutes before i uninstalled. it's almost impressive how bad they fucked up despite having a literal decade to work on the sequel
>>717498778>at least we've moved on from trannies being LE BIG BADYeah because they lost the culture war
>>717498968but we shall win it, sir.;)
>>717498336Decrypting is also taxing on hard drives, I wouldn't install anything with Denuvo on my PC either
>>717501421>taxing on hard drivesoh no, how DARE we ask our hard drives to do their fucking job
>$33 in a keyshop
should i?
>>717501587It will kill your hard driver faster than it would have if you just downloaded the fucking game like a sane person with first world internet.
Just like FitGirl repacks kill your drive as well. Just get better internet. Preload shouldn't be a thing at all
>>717501587I meant comparatively to a normal game download, it's putting 2-3x the work on an SSD so I'm agreeing that it is a meme. And yeah, I think about the wear I'm putting on my hard drives recently because they're $150 with frequent reports of failure so it would be a huge inconvenience if it died from decrypting too many preloads or something.
>>717502084The only value those repacks have are archiving purposes, if the links for older games on those sites haven't expired yet.
>>717502098you're one of those fuckers that takes 30 seconds to get up to speed after the light turns green, aren't you?
>>717502334No it has zero value. Disk space is cheap. You don't need to compress anything. You can buy up to petabytes these days.
>>717500282This isn't a win for jeets though, the guy isn't getting flown into a Westcuck country and he's still stuck living in a shithole like Canada
>>717502429No, I had a hard drive incident a few months ago and lost like 12 years of data. There just isn't a good reason to pre-load if you have an internet connection.
>>717498229 (OP)What if this game sells less than Mafia 3?
>>717502910What the fook are these scores? 2 was an easy 8/10 on launch (1 was a 9/10), 1R and 3 were an equal 7/10
>>717503285Mafia is not knwon for receiving good scores. if it's above 75 it's kino
>>717502910yes thats why i said sure. i wish it had a preload
So is it actually a linear game? Is this MindsEye 2?
>inb4 ummm actually Mafia 2 was linear
Not really, it was no GTA but there was still a lot of comfy stuff to do in the world and the city was nicely simulated and fun to do sandbox stuff in
>>717505309theres an open world anon its not linear-linear
>>717503125It probably will, there is no buzz around this game.
>>717505609>theres an open worldMindsEye has an open world too but you're never allowed to leave your mission and explore. It's just one mission after another with no free time in between and if you stray too far from objective, a black woman screams at you and you get a game over. So that's a linear game with an open world
>>717505803its the same as the other games anon. theyre just too stupid to simply say theres no activities or side stuff.
Some positive review summaries:
>Mafia: The Old Country successfully builds on the winning formula of the first two installments in the series. It places its gripping narrative and fantastic characters at the center of an adventure that is exciting from start to finish
>Mafia: The Old Country is an excellent prequel to the Mafia series. Thereโs so much to like in the 10-15 hour experience, whether itโs the excellent writing, stunning cutscenes or the enjoyable moment to moment gameplay. While it has its flaws, Hangar 13โs latest is a well-crafted love letter to a series Iโve loved for many years.
>Mafia: The Old Country is a traditional video game, and thatโs a good thing. Next to the trend of games as endless online experiences, the narrative of Enzoโs rise through the ranks of a criminal family is small and discrete, like a sawed-off shotgun tucked inside a crate of lemons.
>Mafia: The Old Country harkens back to the old days in more ways than one. While the gameplay is more of a standard third-person action affair, itโs refreshing to play a game that doesnโt require you to wade through padding to find the good stuff. With a stirring narrative that commands your attention and visuals that fully capture your gaze, The Old Country is exactly the place to holiday as the summer comes to a close.
we're going home video game bros
>>717506480ooooh fuck the game is gotta be shit then
The devs are probably in the bathroom so can't setup a pre-load.
>>717506297Do not ever use sakura for a slop post like this again. Jesus this made me actually mad, shame on you. Don't post again for at least 10 years.
