It's basically 2042.1 with a BF4 skin on it. Plays like COD Warzone or something. No weight to movement at all, feels like you're skating across ice. Gunplay is like laser tag with COD-esque full auto spraying across the map. Destruction is once again limited to designated points on the map and is scripted to trigger and then stop at certain segments. Gameplay flow and maps seem like something a free to play bf ripoff would have. Just feels off overall.

I'm thinking there will be a few months of egregious coping about the game and then it will fall off a cliff like V and 2042 did. Return to form it is not.

it's weird. for every part I like there's a part I equally dislike.
for example, the "dive" is actually just a directional prone and feels great. on the other hand the slide gives a weird speed boost and has an arbitrary cooldown like it's a character ability or some shit. Super odd.

Another example; the new destruction system seems pretty good with a lot of dynamic parts that can break, but the maps are also tiny and cramped compared to older titles that makes them feel like pure CQC with vehicles desperately trying to navigate a tight spiderweb.

I actually chuckled at this because Skate 4 used to be one of the most awaited sequels before GTA 6, and lo and behold the dev studio making it are out of touch hipster that are making a Skate: Fortnite edition.
