Verdict: It is CoDfield. Fast movement, fast TTK, very small maps, constant action with literally 0 downtime ever. Makes sense considering that they brought in Vince Zampella to head the entire game.

They couldn't even design balanced maps. Holy shit the maps suck just little lanes. You can be dominating cunts then suddenly its 1v7 when they spawn 5cm around a corner. You should be able to survive for at least 5 minutes in a battlefield game. You and a squad can't make any tactical advantages because the maps are small and move in seconds. An objective can go from 0 people to 40 within the space of 10 seconds. You will never feel like you snuck behind enemy lines with your squad to cap an objective while the enemy slowly realises what's happening and starts moving 1 or 2 players towards you.

Not exactly infantry but I was a firefighter in the airforce. Female firefighters literally just didn't have to do training in the academy that the guys had to do. They would sit on the sidelines of the most intense trainings, and the trainings they did have to do were lower weight, etc.

Played a few rounds and it felt just, I dunno, right. It helped that the entire game was full of plebs and me and like 5 other people were just carrying the whole team. I noticed the same thing on the other team too. And this was for several rounds. It was interesting to say the least. My squad topped both games I played. Game ran pretty well. I'm getting 120-130fps without DLSS and maintaining a consistent 144fps with DLSS Quality enabled. I haven't gone into DLSS swapper though to see what version the game is using though. Haven't tried frame gen since I don't need it with my 4080,

Honestly, I was originally thinking I was going to skip this BF, but after actually playing it, I am pretty sure I'm going to buy it.

Yeah loadouts were a pandora's box situation, they couldn't remove it from Warzone and its just how the game played. You farm money and get a laser beam in the first few minutes.
Grabbing attachments in Blackout and building a laser beam is fun, just like getting attachments in PUBG. You need those games where you use random whatever the fuck you find to win. Not just the same meta guns.

Also really liked unlocking characters via map challenges in Blackout. Landing Asylum, grabbing the hat if its up and then hoping to do the unlock.

BC2 had huge maps too. There are vehicles in BF6 but you don't even need them, except for the tank.

The demo maps are all funnel design and on the small side. Even the mountain range map is super narrow. I hope there are wider maps that allow flanking

None of these matches have any of the good flow that 2042 Breakthrough on Spearhead had, and more realistic character models really don't make up for that.

Got into the beta for ps5, played a match and its pretty fun so far, what I would expect from a battlefield game. I'm playing recon but using an assault rifle, i fucking love using the spawn beacon behind enemy lines. BF6 gunplay sucks because of hit reg, awful TTK balancing, and a combination of exaggerated recoil with shitty accuracy on rifles versus shotguns being laser accurate one hit kill monsters. I barely got any shotgun kills in 2042. My first match of BF6 I had three (!!) occassions where my shotgun deleted a corridor of 5 to 9 enemies. BF2042 is very smooth and satisfying to play now. Coming from Hunt Showdown, i fucking hate the audio in this.
Its so cluttered, like a ball of rubberbands. It doesnt feel crisp at all, and its impossible to tell one thing from another.
The audio feels good when there's not much going on, but if there's a firefight you cant even hear a tank strolling next to you.
The TTK is ridicilous and i agree : i think its tickrate issue, sometimes it feels you get popped in 2 hits and sometimes you tag the opponent 6 times and they still keep going.
