It's alright. It would be much better if it wasn't using UE5. Game looks awful because of all the garbage used just to make the development easier.
Music and artstyle are great.

Kinda agree with this. Normal difficulty was a good challenge without being frustrated like I was on hard but it felt like the times dodge/parry/jump did too much heavy lifting vs going for weaknesses and chaining different element/weakness/effect combinations. Dragon Quest XI you really needed to be on your shit with that at least in the harder battle draconian mode

I didn't say the gameplay was bad? All I was saying is that the weight on timing dodge/parry was far more important to winning battles than using the right attacks/spells/weakness/elements. Most of the time I'd end up using the same attacks/spells on every enemy especially late game. Unlocking more powerful abilities and switching between characters in your party wasn't really prioritized
