There are tons of franchises with non-human characters that are popular but business people love to gaslit themselves into bullshit because they have zero common sense. Yeah, I don't understand where they're getting this sentiment from. Just look at kid's cartoons, half of them are composed of characters which are literally just talking animals and people love it.
